Carol Ann (Leininger) Breuninger

 

Dexter, Michigan

Passed away at age 74, Sunday, February 14, 2016, at her home. She was born May 23, 1941, in Monroe,
MI, the daughter of Glen and Bertha (Wothke) Leininger. Carol graduated from Monroe High School in 1959.

April 8, 1961, she married Robert E. Breuninger. Soon after their marriage, they moved to the Dexter area where they raised their family.

Carol was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ in Dexter where she sang in the choir and served as church secretary as well as the financial secretary. She also served as a Deacon.

Carol had worked for Interface Systems in Ann Arbor for six years. She also worked at Chelsea Grain Elevator for 10 years. Carol was active in 4-H with her children and was a 4-H Leader. She loved sewing and taking trips. Most of all, her children and grandchildren were her life.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Bob; two children, Bruce (Jennie) Breuninger of Dexter, and Kristin (Dave) Kowalski of New Hudson; and seven grandchildren: Sarah, Ethan, Zeke, and Amanda Breuninger, and Samantha, David, and Alex Kowalski.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11am, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, from St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ, Dexter, with Rev. Grant W. Speece officiating. Private burial will take place at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor.
