Chelsea Boys’ XC Dominates White Jamboree

The Division 2 Top Ranked Chelsea boys’ cross country team dominated the second SEC White Jamboree in Adrian last week.

The Bulldogs took five of the top six places to finish with 16 points, easily outdistancing second place Dexter with 62 and third place Pinckney 97.

Tom Oates finished in the top spot with a time of 17:25, followed by Jensen Holm in 17:36. Carson Rabbitt was third in 17:44, Connor Gilbreath fourth in 17:51, and Foster Thorburn sixth in 17:52. Jeremy Northrup came home 13th in 18:23 and Liam Hartsuff 14th in 18:23.

The Bulldogs easily won the Chelsea Invitational Saturday. The race is divided into 9th/10th grade team and 11th/12th. The 9-10 team swept the four spots to finish with six points, while the 11/12 team took five of the top six to finish with seven points.

The 9-10 team was led by Will Scott in first, followed by Joseph Norwood,  Shaun Happy, and Robbie Oates.

The 11-12 team was led by Tom Oates in first, followed by Holm second, Rabbitt fourth, Gilbreath fifth, and Foster Thorburn sixth.
