SALINE CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 13, 2017
The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and five members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Council voted to approve the Agenda as submitted. Council voted to excuse the absence of Council Member Mitchell. There were three presentations and one citizen comment. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council: Council minutes of the October 23, 2017 regular meeting; payment of 148 payees in the amount of $1,123,272.31; Appointment of Katherine Downie to the Arts & Culture Commission.
A public hearing was opened and closed. Council voted to approve the Special Land Use for Sauk Trail Court to allow three story hotel.
A public hearing was opened and closed. Council voted to approve the Special Land Use for Sauk Trail Court to allow a hotel in a SPA-1 Zone.
Council voted to approve: Peoples Parking Lot Recommendation; Vanessa Street Dedication and Acceptance of Public Streets.
Council voted to approve: 2018 Community Event Waiver of Fees; Walmart Grant Application; Rec Center Rules & Policies; Asset Management Software; Roof Repairs – Rentschler Farm Hog House; AECOM Release and Settlement Agreement; Appointment of an Interim Police Chief; Police Chief Search – Conditional Offer of Employment; Vactor Truck Purchase. There were five Discussion and/or Report items. There was one public comment.
