Dexter Tennis Takes Down Pinckney

The Dexter girls’ tennis team won a nonleague contest May 2, taking down Pinckney 7-2.

The Dreadnaughts showed its strength at singles by taking all four matches.

Erin Evans won a one singles 6-4, 6-4, while Michelle Hoang won at two 7-5, 6-3. Rylee Kim won 6-3, 6-2 at three singles and Jaime Becker 6-1, 6-2 at four singles.

Anna Stricklen/Zoe Gaglis won at two double 6-4, 6-4, Caitlynn McClendon/Jordyn Birchmeier 6-3/6-1 at three doubles, and Emily Herold/Lauren Flipiak 6-3, 6-3 at four doubles.

The Dreads won the Wayne Memorial Invite Saturday, May 7.

Dexter finished with 25 points, beating out South Lyon East with 17. Individual results were not available.
