Dexter’s Jaime Becker Signs to Play Volleyball at Rollins College

WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 3, 2016) – Rollins volleyball head coach Mika Robinson has announced the addition of four newcomers to the Fall 2016 roster.  Jaime Becker (Dexter, Mich.), Gina Capetta (Lisle, Ill.), Cassidy Cason (Villa Rica, Ga.), and Madison Jenkins (Land O’Lakes Fla.) will join the roster as true freshmen for the Tars’ 2016 campaign.

“This group of student-athletes bring a great balance of athleticism, skill, and energy that will make an immediate impact when combined with our strong group of returners,” said Coach Robinson.  “All four of these young women bring experience playing at a high level, and they are committed to putting the work in to make us better every day.  The future is bright for Rollins volleyball”

A solid mix of talent hailing from Michigan, Illinois, Georgia, as well as a local product from Florida, this season’s incoming class will provide the team with depth as well as fill vital roles in all areas of the court.

Dexter, Mich. native Jaime Becker will bring her skills as a libero to the team.  The three year captain of the Dexter High School Dreadnaughts, as well as four year captain of the Huron Valley Volleyball Club, set a new school record for digs in a season with 525, as well as earned numerous all-region, all-conference, and scholar-athlete accolades throughout her career.

“Jaime brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the game,” Coach Robinson says.  “She will be a big help in improving our serve receive and defensive relentlessness.”

Jaime’s parents are Patrick and Denise Becker.

Congratulations to Jaime on signing with Rollins.
