Passed away at age 78, at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. She was born October 21, 1938, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Irving and Therah (Ross) Fitzpatrick.
Elaine had lived in the area since 1959, coming from Jackson, and was a member of the Chelsea First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was involved with the nursery and youth camp. She had worked at McDee for 36 years, retiring in 2007, and was also a volunteer at Chelsea Community Hospital.
August 23, 1980, she married David John Pastor, and he survives. Also surviving are her children: Cindy (Mike) Horn of Chelsea, Sally Jackson of Chelsea, and Todd (Dawn) Miller of Clinton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marilyn Fitzpatrick of Massachusetts and Robert “Corky” (Peg) Fitzpatrick of Roscommon.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Thomas Miller, and her son-in-law, Wendell Jackson.
A funeral service took place Friday, September 8, 2017, from the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea, with Rev. Joy Barrett officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea.
