Passed away at age 64, November 11, 2016 at her home. She was born August 29, 1952 in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Clarence and Joyce (Kinsey) Millhouse. She had lived in the area all of her life and attended the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She was known by many names, Julia, Julie and Jules but her favorite name was Grandma Julie. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart and would drop anything to be with them.
She was a natural caregiver, a loving mother, faithful wife, devoted daughter and loyal friend. She was a passionate person. The things she was most passionate about were her dogs, chocolate, stained glass, and music from which she became one of Michael McDonald and Bernie Chiaravalle’s biggest fans.
October 4, 1974 she married Patrick V. Singer in Livingston County, and he survives. Also surviving are her mother of Stockbridge, three children, Anji (Jim) Barbour of Gregory, Isaac (Dawn) Singer of Chelsea and Erin (John) Trachet of Pinckney; also two sisters, Chris Gill of Ypsilanti, and Linda Pena of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren, Autumn, Jack, Jake, Austin, Olivia, Ally, and Nick, also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, John Millhouse.
Private memorial and burial services will take place in Plainfield. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
