Late Goal Lifts Saline Soccer to Tie

Anthony Sweier scored a goal with 5.1 seconds left in the game to lift the Saline soccer team to a 1-1 tie with Ann Arbor Huron last week.

Sweier was able to head a direct kick from Zeke Gray past the Huron goaltender for the equalizer.

Huron took an early lead scoring just over five minutes into the game. The Hornets controlled the play for most of the game, but could not find the net until Sweier’s late heroics.

The Hornets dropped their last regular season game 2-0 to D2 second ranked Dexter.

Saline had trouble getting anything going against the Dreadnaught defense that has recorded 17 shutouts on the season.
