The Pinckney softball team continues to have its late season struggles, dropping three more contests last week.
The Pirates opened the week by falling to Walled Lake Kettering 8-1 in a KLAA crossover May 9.
Kettering scored four in the second and four in the third for an 8-0 lead. The Pirates could get nothing going until the seventh when Emily Erdt drove in Kennedy Kunnert with a hit.
Paige Leatherman, Kunnert, Kelsey Maurer, and Erdt had the hits for the Pirates.
Ashley Wilson struck out eight on the mound and all eight runs were unearned.
The Pirates then dropped a KLAA doubleheader to Hartland 9-0 and 12-5.
Pinckney picked up six hit in the opener, but could not come through with the big one to put them on the board. Wilson led the offense with a pair of hits. McKenna Pilley, Kunnert, Britney Lapum, and Raegan Palkowski had hits for Pinckney.
The Pirates took a 2-1 lead in the first of the second game, but Hartland scored four in the second and cruised to the win.
Kunnert had a huge game with a pair of home runs and four RBI. Pilley had a hit, RBI, and scored a run, while Lapum had a hit and scored two runs.
