As the construction work continues on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline, the South Lewis Street intersection is scheduled to be closed beginning July 27 for concrete work. The intersection is scheduled to reopen Aug. 6.

Further, paving continued July 25 from Monroe Street east to near the South Ann Arbor Street intersection by Cadillac Asphalt, who started the paving work on July 23.

Storm sewer and streetscape work also continues this week. The storm sewer work at the dam on the west end is scheduled to increase. The 48” storm sewer pipe will begin at the dam and head east. Beginning July 25, brick pavers will be installed in the sidewalks along South Ann Arbor Street, and concrete curb and gutter work from South Harris Street to South Ann Arbor Street will also commence.

There will also be some traffic signal work on the north side at the North Ann Arbor Street and Michigan Avenue intersection beginning July 25. The contractor needs to complete some work items on the north side in preparation for the flip to the north side in mid to late August. This will cause some changes to pedestrian access along Michigan Avenue on the north side from July 25-27.

Finally, water main installation work is scheduled from Davenport to Old Creek Drive this week.
