Stockbridge Community Educations Hosts Bike Fair (with pictures)




Stockbridge Community Education hosted its first Bike Fair at Veterans Park in Stockbridge Friday.

Free bike helmets were given out to 30 area children. Area bike stores repaired and did safety checks on bikes. SRSLY Stockbridge had a bike obstacle course and taught bicycling hand signals. Stockbridge library had a button making table and there was a bike decorating area. SAESA had an ambulance on hand and gave tours of the rig to the kids and adults.  Over 50 people attended the event.

This family friendly event was made possible through the cooperative efforts of ThinkFirst Jackson, SRSLY Stockbridge, 5 Healthy Towns, Aberdeen Bike & Outdoors, The Armory Bike Union in Jackson, Henry Ford – Allegiance Health, SAESA and the Capital Area District Library.
