The Dexter girls’ swim and dive team rolled to its 20th straight SEC White title Saturday, November 4. You would have to go all the way back to 1996 to find the last time the Dreadnaughts were not sitting atop the SEC White.
Dexter won 9 of 12 events to finish with 641 points. Easily outdistancing second place Chelsea with 367.5.
First place finishes went to the 200 medley relay team of Amelia Kinnard, Kamille Balcom, Charlotte Schultz, and Hannah Quist; Annette Schultz 200 free, Grace Kacmarek 200 IM, Sam Durrant 100 fly, A. Schultz 100 free; Sarah Zofchak 500 free, the 200 free relay of C. Schultz, Kacmarek, Zofchak, and A. Schultz; Kinnard 100 back; and the 400 free relay of Zofchak, Kacmarek, Kinnard, and A. Schultz.
Second place finishes went to C. Schltz 200 free, Kinnard 200 IM, Kacmarek 500 free, and Jordan Maisch 100 back.
Third place finishes went to Zofchak 200 free, Madeline Kaufman 200 IM, Popi Vorias diving, Emma Sortor 100 fly, C. Schultz 100 free, Allison Wyka 500 free, Addie Carr 100 back, and Zoe Michos 100 breast.
The Dreadnaughts are ranked third in Division 2 and will shoot for the state title at the finals in Holland November 17 and 18.
