Friday, July 27 was a beautiful day for a car show during Chelsea’s annual Sounds and Sights Festival. Hosted by Chelsea Classic Cruisers, over 314 cars attended from across south-east Michigan. The residential streets of the historic downtown were lined with cars and trucks from the 1920’s to the 1970’s and from the elegant cruisers to muscle to street/rat rods.
On the corners of East Street and Middle Street, Billy Mack and the Juke Joint Johnnies performed rock-n-roll tunes on the Roberts Paint and Body stage.
Chelsea Classic Cruisers is a group of 20 couples plus two individuals ranging in age from 36 to over 80 who own Classic cars from a 1914 Baby Grand Chevy to a 1986 Chevy K10 Silverado Pick-up and many different things in between.
