Dexter American Legion Post 557 proudly announces their Dexter High School Awards for 2024.  As Chairman of the Legion Awards Committee, Legionnaire Ben Howison presented Shane Walton (left) and Ben Sackman (right) with keepsake medallions, certificates, and checks for $1000.  The High School Award is presented annually to two senior young men from Dexter High School and is based upon the individual’s Grade Point Average (GPA), attendance, and participation in school and community activities.

Ben Sackman accepted an ROTC Scholarship from Michigan State University.  This fall, he will be enrolled in an Engineering program.  Shane Walton has been accepted at and will attend Ferris State University enrolled in their Engineering program. 

The Dexter American Legion takes pride in acknowledging the exceptional efforts of these young men and wish them well on their future endeavors.
