From Todd J. Campbell, Saline City Manager
The project remains on schedule for the WWTP odor control system to be substantially complete by June 30, 2019, with total completion by July 30, 2019. Work is being performed daily at the WWTP. The air duct support foundations have been installed. Through the winter months, the contractors will assemble duct supports and ducts to collect the odorous air and deliver it to the odor control units. The WWTP odor control treatment units have been ordered and will be manufactured over the winter months for delivery in the spring.
An odor counteractant system for the WWTP digester has been installed and was started in December. While the Webster report attributed less than 1% of the WWTP odor from this source, the odor control system for it is now fully functional.
The Southside Pump Station underground work is complete. The odor scrubber for the Southside Pump Station is scheduled for delivery in February with an expected start date of March 1, 2019.
Work also continues at the Sauk Trail Business Park generator and the WWTP flood pump. The Sauk Trail generator is scheduled to be started in January 2019.
