Please join us for the March Meeting of the Chelsea Historical Society – Chelsea Schools – a look back through the eyes of those who lived through their rich history. The meeting takes place March 19 at 7pm at the historic Chelsea Train Depot. There is no fee and the meeting is open to all.
The presentation will be a look back at the rich history of Chelsea Schools. Presenters include those with ties to Chelsea Schools over a number of decades to help lead this free-form look back. Any in attendance are encouraged to share their stores as well.
The discussion will be led by Jim Cameron, retired teacher and son of former Superintendent Charles Cameron. On display before and after the meeting will be the many large water colors of local artist Ben Bower in which he captured the history of Chelsea Schools. These paintings were on display at the Chelsea Board of Education for many years and are now part of the CAHS collections. Many photos that detail Chelsea Schools over many years will also be on display.
