The Session Room has a new owner with a familiar name.
On June 4, the Arbor Brewing Company announced that its back, but in a new westside location on Jackson Road in Scio Township.
“Yesterday we closed on the purchase of The Session Room on Ann Arbor’s west side and will be reopening today as Arbor Brewing Company Session Room. We promised to return to Ann Arbor after we had to close our original downtown Ann Arbor location at the height of the pandemic. While it took longer than we hoped, we held out looking for a location that would be the right fit and we know that we have found it in Session Room. Customers can expect the same great food, service and staff plus a full lineup of Arbor beers.
Stop by and say hi! Cheers”
The Session Room is located at 3685 Jackson Road.
Back when it closed its original local, ABC said, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our original downtown Ann Arbor brewpub is closed and will be relocating elsewhere in Ann Arbor. It opened in 1995 as one of the early pioneers in craft beer, and this year marked an incredible 25 years in that same space.”
“Many batches of beer have been brewed in the original brewhouse, but more importantly many pints shared among friends and many new friendships created. However, the businesses realities of operating in this location have changed over the years. They had grown increasingly challenging even pre-COVID-19, and we expect there will be even more challenges on the other side of the shutdown. With the end of our lease in sight we have made the decision to move out of this location.”
ABC has two other locations, including the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti and the Plymouth Taproom.
