The Chelsea boys’ golf team hosted an SEC Quad at Inverness Golf Course Monday, April 30 in which teams from Ann Arbor Pioneer, Dexter, and Saline took part in.
Pioneer went 3-0 on the day with a team score of 152.
Chelsea and Saline tied with scores of 161, but the Bulldogs won the tie-breaker with the fifth man score that was one stroke better than the Hornets. Dexter finished with a score of 174.
The Bulldogs were led by Lucas DeRosia with a round of 37. He was followed by Tim Lyons and Tyler Emmert with scores of 41. Austin Lyles finished with 42 and Carter DeRosia’s round of 43 won the tiebreaker against Saline. Elijah King also shot a round of 52.
Saline was led by Josh Finn with a round of 38. Tim Wageman, Jack Woods, and Mason Ausmus all fired rounds of 41, while Grant Terris shot 44, and Luke Kellersohn 52.
Matt Keogh fired a 37 to lead Dexter. John Kolka and Jack Evans each shot 44, Elijah Sharp 49, Joey Fracassi 53, and Kyle Knapp 55.
Pioneers Colin Flanders won medalist honors with a round of 35.
