Webster Township Regular Board Meeting – April 17, 2018, 7:00 P.M.
The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on April 17, 2018 at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130.
Members present: Supervisor: John Kingsley, Clerk: Barbara Calleja, Treasurer: Carol Whitney, Trustees: Gary Koch, John Scharf, John Westman, Richard Kleinschmidt, Zoning Administrator: Randy Raiford and 14 citizens. Meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag
Motion to approve the minutes as presented of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting, the Washtenaw County Road Commission Meeting, Budget Public Hearing Minutes along with 2 Closed Session Meeting minutes all held on March 20, 2018. Carried.
Motion to approve the agenda as amended to add item I, PDR Expenditures. Carried.
Motion to accept Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before the May 15, 2018 meeting. Carried.
Motion to approve the Motorcycle Time Trials on the Schwarck Farm, scheduled for July 1, 2018 and the additional date of September 16, 2018 with the contingency that there are no complaints received from the previous event. Carried.
Motion to adopt Social Media Policy #03-18 as written. Carried.
Motion to approve the expenditure of $6,000.00 for services provided to citizens of Webster by the Dexter Senior Center. Carried.
Motion to approve the Special Use Permit for 7495 Joy Rd. to operate a Convenience/Party Store in the Commercial Zone under the condition that the business opening hours start time shall not commence before 9 a.m. to prevent generating additional traffic during the peak morning commute hour, and contingent on the approval of the final site plan. Carried.
Motion to approve an expenditure of $13,056.00 to WAVE for the transportation
service they offer to the senior residents of Webster Township. Carried.
Confirmation of the appointment of John Westman to the PDR Board for a two-year term expiring on 1/2020. Confirmed.
Motion for the Ad Hoc committee to move forward with a Webster Township 2018 Gravel Road Improvement Survey to be included in the summer tax bill mailing with the understanding that, in order to get final approval from the Webster Township Board, a final draft be provided to the Township by the May 2018 meeting, and the Township get a cost estimate for the mailing. Carried.
Motion to approve the St. Patrick Church Chicken Run for Saturday, September 15, 2018. Carried.
Motion to approve an expenditure of PDR funds, not to exceed $6,500.00 to commission a survey and
environmental site assessment on property described in application 2010-4. Carried.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:47 p.m. Carried.
