The Chelsea football team moved one step closer to securing a playoff spot with a 35-8 pasting of Adrian Friday night.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-2 overall on the season and 4-2 in the SEC White.
Chelsea dominated from the start taking a 14-0 first quarter lead on a pair of Aaron McDaniels touchdown runs of one-yard and four yards.
McDaniels third touchdown of the night just before the half made it 21-0 at the break.
The Bulldogs put the game away with a pair of third-quarter touchdowns to extend the lead to 35-0. Brennan VanRiper scored on a six-yard TD run and Kyle Knight hit Mitch Reynolds with a 15-yard scoring pass.
Adrian scored early in the fourth to cut the lead to 35-8, but that is as close a the Maples would get.
McDaniels led the Bulldogs 87 yards rushing and three scored, while VanRiper rushed for 72 yards and a TD. Hunter Allen added 47 yards on the ground and Knight28 as the Bulldogs rushed for 245 yards as a team.
Quin Starkey was 12-13 passing for 102 yards. Reynolds caught five for 36, Hunter Neff three for 42, Knight three for 12, and Nick Christian two for 27.
Joe Taylor led the defense with seven tackles, while Daniel Golding, Gabe Vowles, and Nicholas Holmberg had five each.
