The Chelsea bowling teams both split a pair of matches last week as both improved to 3-1 on the season.

The Bulldogs opened the week by both defeating Ypsilanti. The boys swept the Grizzlies 30-0, while the girls won 27.5-2.5.

Tyler Bowman led the boys’ team with a game of 237 followed by Jaden Cobb with 225. Luis Carvallo fired a 223, Jaylen Watson 211, John Davis 195, and Zack Vetor 195.

Brittney Stephenson led the girls with a game of 156. Corrine Dale shot games of 156 & 150, and Lisa Kaiser 151.


The teams then both dropped their first matches of the season as they fell to strong Tecumseh teams.

The boys fell to the Indians 18-12.

Davis led the Bulldogs with a game of 235 followed by Watson with 222. Hunter Allen shot 214, Trevor Ramsey game of 212 and 190, and Tyler Bowman 191.

The girls fell to Tecumseh 22-8.

Kaiser had a big day with games 226 & 196. Dale fired games of 192 & 156, Stephenson 164 & 142, Courtney Koch 154 & 146, and Mallory Stribe 144.

The JV team fell to Tecumseh 23-7.

Lucas Hopkins rolled a 194, Derek Reiber 176, and Vincent Emery 145.
