The Chelsea football team bounced back from its first loss of the season last week blanking Tecumseh 24-0 September 15.

A pair of first half Thomas Steele touchdown runs gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 halftime lead, which is all the Bulldogs defense would need.

Owen Nikischer was a ball hawk on defense for the Bulldogs, picking off three passes on the night. He also had a solo tackle and three assists.

In the third quarter, Steele hit Aaron McDaniels with a 25-yard scoring pass to make it 21-0 after three.

Cullen Lindsay finished the scoring with a 38-yard field goal in the fourth to make the final 24-0.

Chelsea outgained Tecumseh 250-197 in total offense.

Steele rushed for 56 yards on 10 carries and was just 2 of 12 passing for 41 yards and a TD. Jack Smith rushed for 48 yards on six carries and McDaniels 53 yards on 12 carries.

Blake Engler picked up four solo tackles and seven assists, while Andy Xiao assisted on seven tackles.

The Bulldogs are tied atop the SEC White with Pinckney and Tecumseh with 2-1 records.
