The weather took a turn for the worse in the second half, but not before the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead on another goal on a corner by Lane with 17:30 left.
The rain and wins picked up later in the second half and made the playing conditions more difficult, but it did not bother the Bulldogs defense as the held St. Catherine at bay and held on for the win.
Lane picked up both goals for Chelsea, while Vogel added two assists. Faupel finished with five save out of six shots for Chelsea.
