Chelsea Field Hockey Celebrates All-State Awards

Chelsea Field Hockey athletes were recognized at the team’s annual banquet with Michigan High School Field Hockey Association (MHSFHA) academic and athletic excellence All-State Awards.

All-State Academic awards recognize senior athletes who earned a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.70 or higher. Seniors Alex Chalogianis and Payton Doan, captains for the 2018 season, were honored for their academic excellence.

The Varsity team also earned an All-State Academic award for achieving a team average cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The MHSFHA coaches selected Doan for the Division I All-State First-Team for the fourth consecutive year. Senior Jordan Holton was selected for the Division I All-State Second Team and senior Kyle Bragg was selected as Division I All-State Honorable Mention.

Rising senior Molly Latimer and rising junior Maddie Vogel were elected captains of the Chelsea Field Hockey Varsity team for the 2019 season.
