The Chelsea field hockey team avenged a regular season loss to Hartland by knocking off the Eagles 1-0 in overtime October 17.

Hartland had beaten the Bulldogs 2-1 in Septembers, but this time the D2 11th seed knocked off the 6th seed Eagles to advance to the quarterfinal round of the D2 tournament.

The Bulldogs defense put the clamps down on the Eagles offense, keeping them off the board in regulation.

The teams went into overtime scoreless, but the Bulldogs pulled out the win when co-captain Grace Lane found the net with the game winner to move the Bulldogs on to the next round.

Chelsea improved to 7-9-1 overall. They faced third seed St. Catherine in the quarterfinals Tuesday, October 22.
