Chelsea Girls’ Golf Starts Fast

The Chelsea girls’ golf team had a fast start to the season after a pair of second place finishes at Invitationals last week.

The Bulldogs finished second at the Perry Judson Scramble August 15.

The two-person scramble saw all three Bulldog teams finish with scores of 87. Teaming up for Chelsea were Maddie Vasquez/Hannah Greenstein, Sam Pagliarini/Emily Savery, and Julia VanReesema/Grace Jacobusse.

Chelsea then earned a second-place finish at the Lakeview Invite August 17.

The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 377. St. Joseph won the event with 350.

VanReesema carded a personal best score of 88, while Vasquez also finished with a round of 88. Savery also shot a personal best of 99, followed by Pagliarini 101, Emily Ligi 111, and Elizabeth Ligi 117.
