Chelsea Golfers Go 4-1 in SEC Matches

The Chelsea boys golf team had a big week as they went 4-1 in a pair of SEC matches last week.

The Bulldogs opened by hosting an SEC quad at Inverness April 30.

They defeated Dexter 161-174, tied Saline at 161, but won the tie-breaker with the fifth players score by one stroke and fell to Ann Arbor Pioneer 152-161.



The Bulldogs were led by Lucas DeRosia with a round of 37. He was followed by Tim Lyons and Tyler Emmert with scores of 41. Austin Lyles finished with 42 and Carter DeRosia’s round of 43 won the tiebreaker against Saline. Elijah King also shot a round of 52.

Chelsea then swept a pair of matches, defeating Pinckney 167-175 and AA Huron 167-188.

Lucas DeRosia led the squad with a round of 37 followed by Brendan Doyle with 42, Lyons and Emmert each with 44.
