Chelsea Hockey Falls to Flint Powers

The Chelsea hockey team returned from winter break and fell to a strong Flint Powers squad 5-2 Saturday, January 5.

Powers started quickly with a pair of first period goals in the first 2:12 of the contest.

The Bulldogs settled things down, but could not find the net and trailed 2-0 after one period.

Powers made it 3-0 just 12 seconds into the second period and made it 4-0 with 13:50 left in the second.

Chelsea broke through early in the third when Brady Fleszar scored with assists going to Wes Hansen and Will Sujek, but Powers answered just 16 seconds later to make it 5-1.

scored his second of the game on the power play with 3:08 left in the game to finish the scoring. Jack Capper and Gabe Vowles assisted on the goal. Aidan Boote stopped 32 shots in net for the Bulldogs.
