Chelsea Hockey Takes Down Pioneer





After struggling for most of the season, the Chelsea hockey team seems to be clicking at the right time with Regionals next week.

The Bulldogs have won three of their last five games with two regular season games remaing.

Chelsea came out strong Monday and took down Ann Arbor Pioneer 3-1.

Nicklas Holmerg and Brad Sullivan scored first period goals to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead after one period.



The teams were scoreless in the second and Pioneer cut the lead to 2-1 early in the third.

Wes Hansen scored on the powerplay with 7:29 left in the game to seel the win for the Bulldogs.

Aidan Boote made 41 saves in net against Pioneer

Aidan Boote was huge in net, stopping 41 of 42 shots, keying the Bulldogs win.

Chelsea improved to 6-17 overall on the season. They travel to Woodhaven Wednesday and host Pinckney in the reglar season finale Saturday at 5:00 PM.
