After holding a Pierce Public Parks Input session on May 16, the Chelsea Parks Commission evaluated feedback from that session held at Pierce Park last week at their Jun. 5 meeting.
One trending topic continues to be the rock and based on feedback from that input session, it sounds like the rock will be staying put.
During the input session that was held at Pierce Park, there was a layout of the park and the proposed changes that included a new path, relocation of the rock, addition of a new gazebo, the addition of new play structures and swings, and other seating areas.
The purpose of the input session and various other informational meetings for the Pierce Park improvements that have taken place thus far have been to get the ideas for updates out there.
While nothing has ever been set in stone from these meetings, the purpose of all prior meetings and input session has been to get ideas from the community about what they want, not to decide what is happening without taking more public input.
The Parks Commission will continue to evaluate feedback and adjust the Parks plan accordingly., it will also be discussed at the next Parks Commission meeting on Jun. 19.
