The Chelsea soccer team used two second-half goals to break a 1-1 tie and defeat Adrian 3-1 in a SEC White contest Tuesday, September 25.
The game was played in the pouring rain and was delayed in the second half due to a thunderstorm.
Goal scorers for the Bulldogs were Jacob Schultz, Jack Martin, and Noah French. Will Barhite, Parker Shaw, and Aaron Zivzak recorded assists, while Connor McKenzie picked up the win in goal.
The Bulldogs dropped a 3-1 decision to rival Dexter Thursday.
A loud and boisterous crowd saw an up and down the field first half with both teams getting great scoring chances, but neither found the net as the game remained scoreless.
The teams continued the up and down action in the second half, but the Dreadnaughts scored on a free kick to take a 1-0 lead.
Dexter was called for a penalty in the box and Schultz made them pay by drilling home the penalty kick to tie the game at 1-1.
The Bulldogs were stunned on the midfield kick following the goal as the Dreadnaughts launched a shot from midfield that landed in the net to make it 2-1. Dexter would add another goal with eight minutes left to seal the win.
