The Chelsea girls’ swim and dive team has its sights set high for a top finish at the Division 3 State Finals at Oakland University Friday and Saturday.

The Bulldogs have 13 swimmers and divers qualified for the finals that will kick off Friday with the preliminaries.

Chelsea is coming off a 5th place finish in 2018 and entering the Finals ranked 9th, the Bulldogs have their sights set on another top 5 finish.

Sophomore Bella Turner will look to pick up a lot of points for Chelsea as she will be competing in the three events. She is part of the 4th seeded 200 free relay team and will be seeded 5th in the 200 free and 7th in the 100 free.

Alexis Nelson is coming off winninthe SEC White title and will be seeded 4th in the 50 free. She will also be part of a pair relay teams for the Bulldogs. She will also compete in the 100 free, but will need a big effort to qualify in the top 16 to move on to Saturday.

Abby Robbins will be seeded 8th in the 100 breast and will look to improve on her All State 6th place finish in 2018.

Savannah Fisk, Melina Almhiemid, and Molly Jacobson will compete in the diving for Chelsea.

The 400 free relay team is seeded 9th and with a strong preliminary could be racing in the finals Saturday.

At press time, it is not known who will be competing in the three relay races for the Bulldogs.

Kauri Fields will be competing in the 100 back, Olivia Prodin 100 free, Olivia Olk 100 butterfly, and Robbins 200 IM. Morgan DeYoe, Riley Monahan, Rory Krause, and Katie Leissner will be part of the relay teams for the Bulldogs.
