With Regionals looming, the Chelsea boys’ tennis team had another strong week by claiming the Trenton Honor and Glory Tournament Saturday.

The Bulldogs won five of eight flights and one second-place finish.

Peter Moraud (3) and Lucas Hopkins (4) won singles titles for the Bulldogs.

Doubles titles went to Landon Napieralski/Lane Ford (2), Cal Stacy/Dom Guthrie (3), and Kyle Mitchell/Joshua O’Brien (4).


AJ Mitchell and Carter DeRosia teamed to finish 2nd at one-doubles, while Hunter Napieralski was 4th at one-singles and Hayden Hoffman 5th at two-singles.

The Bulldogs finished with 20 points, beating out second-place Trenton with 14 in the 8 team tournament.

Chelsea split a match with Division 4 3rd ranked Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard 4-4 earlier in the week.

Hopkins picked up a win at four-singles, while L. Napieralski/ Ford, Stacy/Guthrie, and Mitchell/O’Brien were victorious at doubles.
