Chelsea Volleyball 6-1 at SEC White Jamboree

The Chelsea volleyball team had a strong showing at the SEC White jamboree last week going 6-1 on the day.

The Bulldogs had started slowly this season but rolled through its first six opponents in Adrian. They defeated Jackson 25-9, 25-11; Tecumseh 25-14, 25-11; Lincoln 25-23, 25-19; Adrian, 25-19, 25-17; Ypsilanti 25-14, 25-10; and Pinckney 25-14, 25-22.

This set up a showdown with rival Dexter in the final match of the day as both teams were undefeated.

The first set was a battle, but the Dreads pulled out a 25-21 win. Chelsea played hard in the second but came up short in a 25-19 loss.

Madeleine Kennedy and 63 kills and Maddie Kemp 32 to lead Chelsea. Grace Suntheimer had 96 assists and 16 aces and Rachel Hein 11 aces; Karie Reiber had 32 digs and Kemp 23.
