Chelsea Wrestlers Fourth at Wyandotte Invite

The Chelsea wrestling team came home with a 4th place finish at the Wyandotte Rosevelt Invitational Saturday, January 6.

The Bulldogs finished with 149 points in the tournament that was won by Utica Ford with 188. The tournament was made up of mostly Division 1 schools.

Corbyn Munson led the Bulldogs by winning the 135 lb division with a 3-0 record and remained undefeated on the season at 26-0.

Mitchell Reynolds finished 2nd at 145, falling in the championship match and finishing with a 3-1 record.

Third place finishes went to Shane Nold at 125, Nick Matusko at 130, Gus Reynolds at 160, and Josiah Finch at 215. Rafe Rayes was 5th at 285.

The Bulldogs varsity B team went 3-2 at the Homer Invitational Saturday.

Chelsea defeated Pittsford 54-24, Battle Creek Harper Creek 63-9, and Jackson 42-28. They fell to Homer 53-9 and Schoolcraft 69-9.

Josh Dosey led the Bulldogs with three wins at 145. Zach Dosey (140), Nik Sommers (171), Daniel Golding (189) and Ethan Corkin-Howell each collected two wins. Picking up singles wins were Tyler Hochrein at 135, Thomas Kennings 152, Solair DiDomenico 112, AJ Tokarski 130, and Noah Holton 285.
