The Chelsea girls’ golf team competed in the D3 Regional at Hankerd Hills Golf Course in Pleasant Lake Thursday and came home with a fifth-place finish.
While the Bulldogs did not qualify as a team, Sam Pagliarini qualified for the D3 Finals as an individual with an 18-hole score of 91.
The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 396, just five strokes out of the third place spot that would have sent them to the finals. Detroit Country Day won the tournament with 371. Tecumseh was second with 390 and Divine Child was third with 391.
Pagliarini will compete in the D3 state finals at Forest Aker East Golf Course in East Lansing October 19 and 20.
Julia VanReesema finished with a round of 97, followed by Maddie Vasquez with 100. Emily Savery shot 108 and Hannah Greenstein 112.
