SALINE CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 5, 2018
The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and five members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. By unanimous vote of Council, the Agenda was approved as amended. Council voted to excuse the absence of Council Member Ceo. There were two presentations and four citizen comments. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by City Council: Council minutes of the February 12, 2018 regular meeting; payment of 49 payees in the amount of $1,435,511.20; Establish an interview committee for the Assessor position; acknowledge receipt and to open the 2018 Preliminary Assessment Roll.
A public hearing was opened and closed. There were no public comments. Council approved the Special Land Use to allow a towed vehicle storage business at 111 E. Bennett Street.
Council voted to approve and adopt Ordinance 793, Nondiscrimination Ordinance; Approved the repair of high service pump #3; Approved the Resolution for waiver of penalties for failure to file property transfer affidavits; To acknowledge receipt of Ordinance 801, Mobile Food Vending Units; Motion to approve Ordinance 801, Mobile Food Vending Units resulted in a tie; Items 18-38, 18-39 and 18-40 were postponed until the March 19th Meeting; Approved Maple Oaks PUD Amendment; Approved the Judy Ivan Grant request; Approved the conceptual design for Peoples Park Tennis Court; Approved CEI Payment number 3; Approved Rec Center Roof Project change order #3. There were six Discussion and/or Report items.
There was one public comment.
Council adjourned into closed session by roll call vote at 9:35 p.m. Council returned to regular session by roll call vote at 10:23 p.m.
