SALINE CITY COUNCIL

JUNE 18, 2018

SYNOPSIS



The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and six members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda as amended.  There were four presentations.  There was one citizen comment. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by City Council: Council minutes of the June 4, 2018 regular meeting; payment of 95 payees in the amount of $256,973.05; Second Amended FY18 Major Streets, Local Streets, and Municipal Street Budgets; Second Amended FY18 Recreation Complex and Recreation Bond Budgets; Second Amended FY18 Sewer and Water Budgets; Second Amended FY18 Fire Special Assessment, Refuse, SBA Municipal Building, and Cemetery Fund Budgets; Second Amended FY18 General Fund Budget.

New Business:

Council voted to approve the following: City Charter Amendment to authorize a dedicated street right-of-way millage; Proclamation of June 17-June 23, 2018 as “Gun Safety Week”; Revisions to Oakwood Cemetery Rules and Regulations; Capital Improvement Plan for FY19 through FY24; Support Agreement for Saline Community Addiction Prevention Task Force; Pay Application No. 2 to D.N. Higgins.  There were six Discussion and/or Report items.

There was one public comment.

Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 8:56 p.m.  Council ended the Closed Session and returned to the Regular Open Meeting at 9:48 p.m.

Adjourned at 9:49 p.m.
