SALINE CITY COUNCIL

APRIL 16, 2018

SYNOPSIS

The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and five members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda was approved as amended. Council voted to excuse Council Member Ceo. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by City Council: Council minutes of the April 2, 2018 regular meeting; payment of 80 payees in the amount of $831,875.66; Use of public sidewalks for Poppy Sales; National Bike Month Proclamation.

Public Hearing

A public hearing was opened and closed. There were no citizen comments. Council voted to approve the Special Land use request at 1305 E. Michigan Avenue for Knockerball.

New Business:

Council voted to approve the following: Scheduling a public hearing on May 7, 2018 for a 425 Agreement with Pittsfield Township; the Rec Center Roof Project Pay Request #4; Oakwood Cemetery Tours Community Event; Summerfest 5K Community Event; Taste of Saline Community Event; MERS Health Care Savings Program Amendments; Resolution in support of reinstatement of State Historic Tax Credits; Resolution in support of bridge maintenance grant; Swisher Commercial Realty Agreement renewal; WWTP Odor control improvements award; WWTP odor control project – engineering services; Construction agreement with D.N. Higgins, Inc.; Professional Services Agreement with MCI; Ordinance No. 802 Term, Site Condominium; Purchase of Tasers. There were nine Discussion and/or Report items.

There were no public comments.
