City Council Synopsis – City of Saline


SEPTEMBER 11, 2017


The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and six members of Council present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda as amended.  There was one presentation and one citizen comment.  The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council: Council minutes of the August 21, 2017 regular meeting; payment of 126 payees in the amount of $2,476,888.58; to approve the 2017 Saline Area CROP Walk; to accept the resignation of Amy Armstrong from the Parks Commission; Updated Investment Report.

Public Hearing:

A public hearing was opened and closed.  Council voted to approve the Non-Motorized Transportation Plan.

New Business:

Council voted to approve: Cares Grant Application; Odor Abatement Engineering Design and Construction Agreement; Bonding Resolution for WWTP; Comcast Cable Franchise Agreement and PEG Fee Renewal.  Council voted to postpone action on the Paving Project until September 18th.  There were eleven Discussion and/or Report items.  There were two public comments.
