SALINE CITY COUNCIL

JULY 9, 2018

SYNOPSIS



The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and six members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda as amended.  Mayor Marl presented the State of the City. There were two presentations. There were two citizen comments. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by City Council: Council minutes of the June 18, 2018 regular meeting and June 14, 2018 special meeting; payment of 180 payees in the amount of $2,150,355.00; appointment of Charles Lesch to the Parks Commission.

Public Hearing

A public hearing was opened and closed. No one from the public wished to speak. Council approved the Special Land use to allow a commercial recreation business at 401 -N. Ann Arbor Street.

New Business:

Council voted to approve the following: Eagle Scout Project at Rentschler Farm; Block Party Request; Community Event Application Change for Summer Music Series; Agenda Management Software; 2018 Saline Leadership Training Agreement; Huntington Woods Phase III PUD Final Site Plan; DTE Street Light LED Conversion Agreement; Employment Agreement with City Manager and Police Chief; Resolution to appoint staff; Paint Bid Award; Auction Services for disposing of surplus equipment. There were five Discussion and/or Report items.

There was one public comment.

Council adjourned at 10:43 p.m.
