NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT

TO THE

CITY OF CHELSEA ZONING ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for amendment of the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 181) in accordance with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended. 

The proposed text amendment is being requested by the City of Chelsea Planning Commission to amend Section 2.02 – Definitions, and Section 4.16 – Pet Kennels and Boarding Facilities.

The zoning text amendment will be considered by the Chelsea Planning Commission on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Meeting to be held in the City Municipal Building (Council Chambers) located at 311 S. Main Street, Chelsea, MI. A Zoom link will be provided for members of the public who would like to attend remotely.

Signed, written comments concerning the text amendment will be accepted until 4:00pm on January 28, 2024. Comments may be addressed to the Chelsea Planning Commission, 305 S Main St, Suite 100, Chelsea, MI  48118. Comments may alternatively be emailed to the Community Development Department at planning@city-chelsea.org.

Persons requiring reasonable accommodations for disabilities in order that the hearing be accessible to them are requested to notify the Chelsea Community Development Department no later than five (5) business days prior to the date of the hearing of such disability.
