City of Dexter: Job Posting for Recording Secretary

CITY OF DEXTER

JOB OPENING

RECORDING SECRETARY

The Recording Secretary is a paid part-time position. Under the direction of the City Manager or their designee, this individual will be responsible for attending City Council and Planning Commission meetings and producing written minutes of the meetings. Regular City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month starting at 7:00 pm, and regular Planning Commission meetings are held on the first Monday of each month starting at 7:00 pm. These boards occasionally hold special meetings, and the Recording Secretary’s attendance at these meetings is desired, but not mandatory. The Recording Secretary is paid at a rate of $90 per meeting, including special meetings. Preferred candidates will have experience with Microsoft Word, and the ability to transcribe conversation. No experience necessary, and training will be provided. For more information or to apply for the position please contact the City Office at 734-426-8303 or e-mail jbreyer@dextermi.gov.
