NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2024 ELECTION
FOR THE CITY OF DEXTER

To the Qualified Electors of the City of Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan:


Please take Notice that any qualified elector of the City of Dexter who is not already registered or residents that need to update their voter registration for the August 6, 2024 Election, may do so at the Dexter City Offices; the Office of the County Clerk; or a Secretary of State branch office; online at mi.gov/vote or at another designated state agency.

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the City Clerk for this Election is Monday, July 22, 2024. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at Dexter City Hall, 3515 Broad St., Dexter, MI 48130 at the following times:
 Regular business hours: Monday – Friday, from 9:00am – 5:00pm
 Saturday August 3, 2024 from 9:00am – 5:00pm
 Election Day, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 7:00am – 8:00pm

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A STATE PRIMARY ELECTION for the qualified electors in the City of Dexter will be held on TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2024, for the purpose of nominating the representatives for U.S. Congress, State Representatives, County Offices and to elect Precinct Delegates. The following County Proposals will be voted on:
 Washtenaw County Proposal A: “THIS PROPOSAL WILL AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY OF WASHTENAW TO LEVY 0.5000 MILL FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING TO MAINTAIN, CONSTRUCT, RESURFACE, RECONSTRUCT OR PRESERVE ROADS, BIKE LANES, STREETS AND PATHS. OF THE 0.5000 MILL, .4950 REPRESENTS A RENEWAL OF THE 0.5000 AUTHORIZATION APPROVED BY THE ELECTORS IN 2020, WHICH WILL EXPIRE WITH THE 2023 TAX LEVY, AND 0.005 REPRESENTS A RESTORATION OF THAT PORTION OF THE SAME AUTHORIZATION WHICH HAS BEEN REDUCED BY APPLICATION OF THE HEADLEE AMENDMENT”
 Washtenaw County Proposal B: “THIS PROPOSAL WILL AUTHORIZE THE COUNTYOF WASHTENAW TO LEVY 0.02 MILLS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR THE WASHTENAW COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT. OF THE 0.02 MILL, 0.0197 REPRESENTS A RENEWAL OF THE 0.02 MILL AUTHORIZATION APPROVED BY THE ELECTORS IN 2020, WHICH WILL EXPIRE WITH THE 2025 LEVY AND 0.003 MILL REPRESENTS A RESTORATION OF THAT PORTION OF THE SAME AUTHORIZATION WHICH HS BEEN REDUCED BY APPLICATION OF THE HEADLEE AMENDMENT.”
 Washtenaw County Proposal C: “THIS PROPOSAL WILL AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY OF WASHTENAW TO LEVY 0.2500 MILLS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING, DEVELOPING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING PARK LANDS AND RECREATION FACILITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF WASHTENAW COUNTY CITIZENS. OF THE 0.2500 MILLS, 0.2387 MILLS REPRESENTS A RENEWAL OF THE 0.2500 MILL AUTHOIZATION APPROVED BY THE ELECTORS IN 2014 WHICH WILL EXPIRE WITH THE 2026 TAX LEVY AND 0.0113 MILLS REPRESENTS A RESTORATION OF THAT PORTION OF THE SAME AUTHORIZATION WHICH HAS BEEN REDUCED BY APPLICATION OF THE HEADLEE AMENDMENT.”
