City of Dexter: PC Public Hearing 7-1-24

PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A SPECIAL LAND USE APPLICATION

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2024, for the purpose of considering a special land use application. The public hearing will be held at Dexter City Hall, 3515 Broad Street, Dexter, Michigan.

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a Special Land Use application submitted by James Podojil and Scott Roberts, owners, for a vacation rental. The subject site is located at 3141 Baker Road (08-08-06-210-020) and is zoned Central Business District (CBD).

Pursuant to Section 11.10.B of the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance, a Vacation Rental Housing may be permitted as a Special Use in the Central Business District (CBD) when it complies with the standards of the Special Land Use criteria per Section 8.03 and the Vacation Rental Housing standards per Section 14.17.

Copies of the plans and application are available for public inspection at City Hall, 3515 Broad Street, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any questions regarding the special land use application should be directed to the Community Development department at 734-426-8303.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Community Development department at the address listed above or via email to jelswick@dextermi.gov, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2024.
