The Dexter baseball team entered the week sitting atop the SEC White standings, but Tecumseh came to town and handed the Dreads three losses knocking them off their perch.

Nothing went right in the opener as Tecumseh pounded the Dreads 16-1.

Three early errors hurt the Dreadnaughts as Tecumseh took a 9-0 lead after three. Seven runs in the fourth ended the game.

Grant Stehley picked up two hits to lead Dexter, while David Kreske added a hit and RBI.


The second game was much the same as Tecumseh handed the Dreads a 14-4 loss.

Alex Mills and Stehley each had a hit and RBI for Dexter.

Tecumseh took an early 7-1 lead in the third game, but Dexter battled back to cut the lead to 8-6 in the sixth. The Indians added three more in the sixth to pull away for the 11-7 win.

Mills, Drew Bielas, and Owen Huard each had two hits and an RBI. Drake Doyle and Mack Martin each added a hit and RBI.

Dexter split a doubleheader with Plymouth Saturday taking the opener 17-2 but dropping the second 10-1.

Bielas had a big game in the opener with two hits and six RBI. Martin smacked a home run and finished with two hits and three RBI. Stehley had four hits and an RBI, while Kevin DeVoogd had three hits and one RBI. Kreske, Doyle, and Andrew Spicer each had a hit and RBI.

Reid Ladd earned the win on the mound striking out two.

Plymouth took an 8-0 lead after three and the Dexter bats were quiet in the second game loss.

Dexter managed just three hits in the loss. Brady Rosen, Vaughn, and Mills had the hits for the Dreads.

Dexter takes on Chelsea in key three-game series this week.
