Dexter Boys’ Lacrosse Falls in Regional Semis

A big rally came up just short as the Dexter boys’ lacrosse team fell to Haslett/Williamston 11-10 in the Division 2 Regional semifinals last week.Haslett used a big five goal second quarter to take a 7-4 lead into halftime.


The Dreadnaughts began to chip away at the lead by outscoring Haslett 3-1 in the third to make it 8-7.


Dexter battled back to tie it 10-10 and had the ball with just over a minute left, but Haslett forced a turnover and scored the game-winner on a fast break.


Mason Loudermilk led Dexter with four goals, while Ryan Lotz had three goals and an assist. Dalton Wright added two goals and Grisha Griffiths one.


The Dreads used a big five goal third period to pull away from Chelsea and win the opening round playoff 16-4 earlier in the week.

Jasper Howell led the way with four goals, while Griffiths had three. Gabe Waldrup, Loudermilk, Jake Kapuansky, and Wright scored two each, and Sean Carr one.
