The 48thannual Dexter Daze Festival took place last weekend with artisans, crafters, businesses, and bands coming together in downtown Dexter with unique crafts and entertainment for all ages. Over 100 booths of vendor and businesses set up for two days in Monument and Mill Creek Park for the highlight event of the summer in Dexter.

Duck races in the river, chalk drawing competition, and inflatable bounce houses were just a few of the options in the kid zone in Mill Creek Park. Bands played in the gazebo throughout the two-day affair and the social tent, and car show were popular destinations.

On Saturday, Aug. 11 the parade came through downtown Dexter with Nina Rackham leading the way as Grand Marshall followed by police and fire safety units, City Council members, classic cars, horses, and tractors. The two day festival was capped off with a fantastic firework show in the evening.
