The Dexter girls soccer team used a pair of second-half goals to come from behind and defeat Parma Western 2-1 Friday, May 4.
Western took an early first-half lead and held on to that lead into the second half.
Remi Crawford found the net at the 28:31 mark to tie the game at 1-1 and six minutes later Emma Ripka scored the game-winner as the Dreads defense did the rest.
Sammi Corcoran and Molly McCormick picked up assists for the Dreadnaughts. JV goaltender Kendall Wise filled in and made nine saves in net.
Dexter defeated Fenton 2-0 earlier in the week.
After a scoreless first half, Ripka put the Dreads on top just 53 seconds into the second half.
Kylie Cabana made it 2-0 at the eight-minute mark and that is all the Dreadnaughts would need as Tuzinowski and the Dexter defense did the rest. The Dexter defense held Fenton to just four shots on net and Tuzinowski stopped all four.
The Dreadnaughts dropped their first game of the year April 26, falling to Ann Arbor Huron 1-0.
Dexter put pressure on Huron for most of the game, collecting 20 shots, but could not find the net. The only goal of the game was scored by Huron at the eight-minute mark of the second half.
Tuzinowski made nine saves in net for the Dreads.
Dexter defeated Pinckney 1-0 in a tough SEC White battle April 24.
The games only goal came late in the first half when McCormick found the net at 41:04 with an assist to Mia Stewart. Tuzinowski stopped ten shots in net for the Dreads.
