The Dexter girls’ swim and dive team traveled to Milan for its first dual meet of the season and came away victorious 109-77.
Leading the Dreadnaughts was senior swimmer Jordan Maisch, who placed first in the 50 free and 100 back, both state-qualifying times. She was also part of the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Also picking up wins were sophomore Charlotte Schultz (200 free, state qualifying time), sophomore Sam Durrant (100 butterfly), and junior Zoe Michos (100 breast). Depth helped the Dreadnaughts, with several additional top-three finishes: Michos and sophomore Kamille Balcom finished second and third in 200IM; Durrant second in the 50 free; Freshman Elysa Grossman finished second in diving; Sophomore Emma Sortor finished third in 100 butterfly; Sophomore Hailee Waters finished second in 100 free.
Finishing second and third in 500 free were Schultz (with her second state qualifying time of the day) and senior Allison Wyka, respectively; Waters finished third in the 100 back; and Balcom finished second in 100 breast.
Dexter also had a strong showing in the relays, finishing first in the 200 medley relay (Maisch, Michos, Sortor, Waters) and 400 free relay (junior Elizabeth Merz, Waters, Maisch, Schultz). They finished second and third in the 200 free relay.
